New Pool Build - North Dallas

Despite my best effort, we had a partial cave-in. No more rain in the forecast. Gunite is scheduled for Monday. PB said gunite crew will shot the top sections to shore up the dirt and then dig out the cave-in.

Gunite is complete. Got some rain in the forecast so that should help me keep it watered down.

You should have a Heater Bypass - Further Reading

And remove that tablet chlorinator before the SWG cell. No reason for it with a SWG. And I do not see a check valve between the heater and chlorinator. That chlorinator will damage the heater if you put tablets in it.

NXT,

Looks good.. I like the intake set up as you can adjust each pipe independently.. :goodjob:

Have no clue why you would want a tablet feed and a SWCG.. Does not make a lot of sense to me.

I like that the pipes do not come up through the pad...

I like that you have a make-up valve to adjust your spa spillover.

You really need a check valve, or 2-way Jandy valve, between the filter and the pump.. Otherwise the filter will drain down every time you remove the pump lid.

Thanks,

Jim R.

If this is the flow switch for the SWG, you should check the straight pipe requirements. It should also be on the singular return line befor split, otherwise it will not run unless that return is running. Is that your intent.

That is T pipe I'm going to use for a stenner injector. It will be used to add acid with timed intervals. I will have it set up using Alexa routines - inspired by one of your posts :)

PB said they always include the tablet chlorinator for use at start up and winter. I don't plan on using it, but didn't see much harm in keeping it there in case I need to use it.

There is a check valve between the heater and chlorinator - you can't see it from the picture because it's hidden behind the tab chlorinator. I'll ask about a 3-way heater bypass.

If you use it, it will cause harm to your heater.

If you want to use tablets in startup or winter put them in a floater.

Remove the chlorinator and the temptation to use it because you think it will cause no harm.

Should I wire in the Intellicenter to ethernet? I was thinking of going that route and using a ubiquiti surge protector on the RJ45 line.

How much of a gambler are you?

You are relying on a $12.50 device to protect your home network from an EMP.

NTX,

Did your IntelliCenter not come with a wireless connection kit?

My upgrade kit did and it has been working flawlessly..

My original EasyTouch was hard wired into the home network.. My neighbor took a direct lighting hit and I got was left over.. It took out the main card, the SWCG, the surge card and the outside ScreenLogic antenna, the protocol adapter, and then right into my home network.. took out a cable TV box, a surround sound system and a receiver.. Sigh!!

Once the damaged equipment was replaced, I use the wireless com kit that I had not original used.. That was a mistake!!!

Thanks,

Jim R.

It did come with the wireless connection kit. However, I generally prefer to wire stuff when possible. But given the risk of frying the board it sounds like it's not worth it.
