Hi all, pool guy recommended using this product because of the amount of debris that gets into the pool. I am maintaining the pool per TFP standards and CYA and FC are all fine. However, there is a lot of pollen and debris from leaves and so fourth that makes its way into the pool. I read this was okay to use, but was curious if this is the correct product for this application.

What problem are you trying to solve with it? What are your phosphate levels now? My pool in constantly inundated with leaves, pollen, bugs, etc and I’ve never tested for phosphates and haven’t found a reason to.

I am trying to get rid of all that extra stuff. Will the Orenda not actually help?

The orenda stuff is a phosphate remover. Leaves and pollen aren’t phosphates. If that’s what you’re trying to do, then…no it’s not gonna help. You just need a leaf net or a pool cleaner/robot to get that stuff out.
