Hello everyone my fiberglass pool has a Pentair globrite light which went bad. It is out of warranty. I was wondering what are my option for replacement. Can you just replace the bulb, or buy new light a crimp or solder a new light to old cable.
Just wondering what can be done with out having to thread a new wire and light. I find crazy that a new light is like 500 bucks. Why is t there an option to just replace a bulb.

The system is all in one. Sealed. So you buy the light you want (color or white) and the cord long enough to get from the pool to your J Box.
The newer Globrites are hoped to last longer. We will see.

Oh thank you. I’m just afraid that when I try to fish the wire it won’t go through. I’m not sure how the pool builders did it if they run pvc the entire way.
Often the pool light wires are connected at a pool light junction box like these in the lower right...

The J Box Allen showed is what you need to find. Then disconnect the wires for the light and securely attach a pull cord. Pull the light out at the pool, then attach the new light cord to the pull cord and pull it back to the J Box. Trim the wire and connect.

Thanks everyone. I know where the box is because I actually wired all that my self. What I don’t know and I have to ask pool builder if the cord from the light goes through a conduit from pool until it comes out to box. In that case it would be easy to fish through.

How else would it be done?

There is a conduit from the J box to the light receptacle in the pool. It is a wet installation. That is why the cord/light system is integral and sealed.
