Cracks in exterior pool wall

I have a pool that is a few years old and has developed these cracks on the outside wall. Discussed with pool builder who indicates they are only affecting the skim coat and not to worry.

Is there a paint or any product anyone would recommend to stop these from getting worse?

06,

How about a bigger pic showing an overall view, so we can understand better what we are looking at..

Could just be me, but I am having a hard time understanding what I am seeing in the pics.

Thanks,

Jim R.

You are looking at the back side of the faux edge of the pool. Can't go further back for a picture as it is a steep downhill. See picture from opposite side. Also it was wet as water splashed over from the pool. I do not see any water leaking through crack.

My guess is water is getting behind the skim coat possibly due to a small crack at the skim coat to tile joint or tile grout joints at the top of the wall. That area will have significant thermal stress due to heat from the sun with sudden thermal shock when the cooler water splashes up the faux wall. The moisture is causing the cracking and efflorescence. It should be addressed soon before any damage to the structure occurs. I have a similar issue on the weir wall of my infinity edge pool, but my pool obviously has a lot more water flowing over the edge than yours.
