Is my IC40 Still Working?

I have a green light in the salt level status (1)
I have a green light in Flow (5)
3 solid lights in the sanitizer output (6)

I'm missing a light in #4. (it was on yesterday)
The less/more buttons do not work anymore. No matter how many times I press the Less/More buttons, the sanitizer output LED's do not change. Needless to say, pressing both of them at the same time also does not "boost" output for 24h anymore.
Pool water is currently 60 degrees.
Is it time to replace this SWG? or can I just replace the control panel?

K,

The Cell light comes on when the cell is making chlorine..

If you set the output to 50% the Cell light should be on for about 2.5 minutes and then off for about 2.5 minutes..

You can't use the output buttons on the cell if it is connected to your EasyTouch. You have to use the EasyTouch to adjust the Cell's output %.

Most cells last 5 to 7 years..

Thanks,

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I guess it's time for me to figure out this easy touch. I've never used it.
I'll have to admit, Once I installed everything in 2017, it just "worked". I never programmed the easy touch, I've only used it as just a power center/circuit box. It has 4 circuits in it, pump, SWG, shed lights, and deck lights.
In 2017 when I hooked it all up, I saw lights everywhere and when I pressed the output buttons on the SWG the LED's moved. Pool has been literally trouble free for 7 years and so if it isn't broken, why touch it? lol
Every year, I just open the pool by adding 3 bags of salt, 10" of water, 1 bag of shock, and in 2 days it's crystal clear. I don't put a cover on it over the winter, just drop the water level 6" below the return. Once that's done,
I check the chlorine levels once a week and if it ran high I reduced the output by 1-2 LED lights. If it ran low, I increased the LED's. And I only needed to do this when it rained which isn't very often here in Colorado.

So now I'm going to sound like an idiot.. The cell is supposed to turn on and off? I always thought it produced a tiny amount of chlorine 24/7 ?

K,

No, the output of the cell is constant.. When you set the output% to say 50%, that just means the cell only runs half the time. 2.5 minutes on and 2.5 minutes off.. Other than the Cell light, turning on and off, you would never know..

If you never programmed the EasyTouch, it might not even know the cell is there, as you have to set a flag telling the EasyTouch that an IC40 is connected..

If you adjusted the cell's up and down buttons before, and the cell output lights changed, then the EasyTouch is not controlling the cell.

Did your EasyTouch come with an internal power center, or do you have a small external power center for your cell?? You can tell as the cell either plugs into the bottom of the EasyTouch, or it plugs into the External Power Center.

In my opinion, if you have never used the EasyTouch up to now, why change??

Except... How do you control the speeds of your IntelliFlo pump?????

Thanks,

Jim R.

The IC40 connects to the bottom of the easy touch.

The intelliflo pump speeds are controlled manually as well. The 1st few days when I open the pool I set it to 3000 speed. Once the pool is crystal clear, I set the speed to around 1450-1650 and it stays there for most of the summer. The only time I adjust it is if the pool starts to get cloudy from all the swimming (sunscreen mostly), I'll speed it up to clean it up faster.

I'm guessing if I had it set up properly I'd save a bunch in electricity costs?
