So I think I have a small pin hole leak in our vinyl liner or it would have to be in the deep drain pipe.

Last year as the season went on we seemed to have more water loss than normal as the summer got towards the end. In addition, the salt level counited to drop so I think more was going on than just evaporation.

Over the winter when the pool was closed it seemed to again lose more water than normal so I am thinking it is in the liner and not the actual piping return from the pump or booster pump for the cleaner.

Has anyone had any success with locating a pin hole leak in the liner? Did you give up and call someone to come and try to locate the leak? I have not looked too much into what other folks have tried and through I would start here and see if anyone has had success in the past.

First- do a bucket test to determine if you do have a leak.
Then isolate each possible culprit one at a time to determine what is leaking.
Here’s the how to step by step
👇

A great tip mentioned recently was to use laundry bluing as your leak detection dye when you get to that point - it’s cheap, you can see it well & it comes in a decent size bottle.

You can get syringes at the pharmacy or you may already have one laying around from kiddo’s medicine.
