Dolphin m500, possible to add wifi?

I've had my m500 for about 5 years now, and it's been a reliable lifesaver keeping the pool clean. One of my only complaints about this guy has been lack of a remote control, or having to stand right on top of the unit...just to use the app via bluetooth. I noticed that the m600 has wifi, and that the main supply looks fairly close in relation to the m500. Before I get too into the weeds, has anyone ever looked into whether swapping in a unit like that might give that kind of functionality to the older unit?
 
Not sure but maybe you could borrow one from someone and find out before shelling out the $$$?
Maybe a dealer would let you do a demo? That used to be a thing but not sure anymore.
I know that some are interchangeable - like you can go down in features.
Marina only lists the m600 power supply as also being compatible with the Active 60

I might just do that. email support says it's not compatible....but their site says it is in one spot, but not in another. IF the hookups all work, I guess it just depends if they've got the feature locked out somehow for "unsupported" models. Closest dealer is about 30 minutes from here since we're pretty rural.... but it's worth a shot.
