Does it matter if you use the motor mounting plate with the 1” cut slot or the one without the slot? Are they inter-changeable?

SPX3000F is for the Super II.
SPX1600F5 is for the SuperPump.
NOTE: For pumps with an “SP1600X–” part number (manufactured before 1983), the use of these new kits (SPX2600CKIT – SPX2615CKIT) will upgrade the old pump to our current
“SP2600X–” series.

The original parts are no longer available.
You have to replace the whole drivetrain kit.
The newest mounting plate has a new cut, but the older style with no cut should still work.

My pool pump was put in new in 2011. I’m not sure which one I have because all labels have worn off. I need to know if these two parts are interchangeable.

For the mounting plate, I do not think that the crack will be a problem.
If it was the seal plate, then the crack would matter.
In any case, I think that the new part should work.

The one with the slot is a SP1600F6. The one without it is a SP1600F5.
I would say that the parts are interchangeable.

I doubt that there is any significant risk due to the crack.
The 8 bolts should keep the plate from coming apart during use.
Note: It is generally best to replace any defective parts, so I am not recommending that you use the old part; I am just saying what I would probably do.
