Motor Mounting Plate for Hayward Super and Super II pumps

Can you show a picture of what you are talking about?

Can you show the pump label?

What pump do you have?

How old is the pump?

The parts list shows the parts for the pumps.

SPX3000F is for the Super II.

SPX1600F5 is for the SuperPump.

NOTE: For pumps with an “SP1600X–” part number (manufactured before 1983), the use of these new kits (SPX2600CKIT – SPX2615CKIT) will upgrade the old pump to our current
“SP2600X–” series.

For pumps with an “SP1600X–” part number (manufactured before 1983), there was a different mounting plate and a different seal plate.

The original parts are no longer available.

You have to replace the whole drivetrain kit.

The newest mounting plate has a new cut, but the older style with no cut should still work.

SPX3000F is for the Super II.

I think that they are interchangeable, but I do not know for sure.

If there was a difference, it would usually be noted on the parts diagram.

I would say that it is probably interchangeable.

For the mounting plate, I do not think that the crack will be a problem.

If it was the seal plate, then the crack would matter.

In any case, I think that the new part should work.

If it was my pump, I would probably just use the old part instead of buying a new part.

I doubt that there is any significant risk due to the crack.

The 8 bolts should keep the plate from coming apart during use.

Note: It is generally best to replace any defective parts, so I am not recommending that you use the old part; I am just saying what I would probably do.

You have to make the decision and take whatever risk there might be.

In any case, I think that the parts are probably interchangeable.

I replaced the motor mounting plate with the new one and it seems to be working fine.

Thanks for your help…👍🏻
