Hi,
My Pentair Mastertemp 400 NO power, Pool lights also NO power.
I have the Pentair Easytouch control system which shows the display options as attached.
Pool pumps are working fine but heater and pool lights not turning on and no power to them.
Can you please advice?

B,

I am not sure how the lights would be tied into your heater issue, but the first thing to check for the lights is to make sure that the GFCI outlet in the bottom right side of your cabinet has not popped. Stick a light in the outlet and see if it is working.

As for your heater.. it really depends on how things are wired. Some heaters get constant AC power, other heaters get their power from the load side of the Pump/Filter relay. When you say the heater has no power, do you mean you tested the AC into the heater and it is not there, or your heater control panel just not lighting up?

Show us some pics of the LCD and buttons, and then other pics showing all the wiring and relays.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I see I can turn on the pool light using the easytouch control system but through app it is not working.
As far as heater goes, I tried same using the Pentair Easytouch control system the light does not show on the board(There is a little light button on the top on the control system which lights up when turned on, this does not turn on).
No lights show up on the heater control panel as attached.

Was the heater working before?
Check circuit breaker.
If you don't have the manual, you can easily get it from pentair's site and look at trouble shooting section.

If your MasterTemp heater is controlled by the 2-wire firemans switch it will only be powered when the IntelliTouch closes the firemans switch and calls for heat. Read Pentair MasterTemp Heaters - Further Reading

First thing to check is the cable between the heater and the IntelliTouch.

Also check the fuse next to the firemans switch connection in the heater.

Pool guy came and mentioned to me that the Chlorinator connection marked in the red are placed in the wrong location. They said it should go in the upper part of the box (low voltage) and not at the lower part (high voltage). Can you please advice if this is correct and I need to move the marked one to the top?
Also the wires used to connect chlorinator part marked is bigger and they removed it and asked me to get it corrected. Based on manual I see it need a four conductor cable (22 AWG).
Chlorinator works now but I cannot access thru app screen logic as Comm port is not connected.

They also suggested to use this

B,

Who installed that external SWCG Power Center inside your EasyTouch.. ???

Technically, the Surge card (In red) needs to be in the upper part of the cabinet and out of the high voltage area.

The cable in your link is for a different style surge card that is normally installed when the EasyTouch has a built-in SWCG Power Center. There is no place for that cable to plug into the external power center surge card that you have. I guess you could cut the white plug off and solder the wires into the card in red.

I would suggest that you get the correct surge card.. It also has additional com ports making connections much easier.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I had the power center and I installed it inside the high voltage area as the 4 wires red, black, white, green connection is very short. Can I cut this 4 wire and make another wire another connection and move to the low voltage? Even if I buy Pentair Part 520724 it will not work. Can you please advice electrical wire AWG size needed?
