Between the wall sweat and improper ground slope(regrading today), you can see the ground rail rusted to the point of holes.
I was gonna spray a rust reformer and just caulk the hole to keep water out.
Then paint.
Does the bottom track keep the wall from blowing out at the cove?
I do have foam cove.

Most of my 10 year old pool bottom looks like that.
I can go around and cosmetically “fix” the rust, but we know the inside is probably worse.

I’m looking at all resin pools for a replacement, but I’d like maybe one more summer before blowout.

I’m not sure how much time and money I want to spend in the next few days frantically attacking this.

I know it can’t keep affecting my sleep, last night was rough worrying about this.

Thanks for listening.

You cannot fix rust.

The walls are weakened and that pool should be retired before it collapses and damages whatever or hurts someone.

My pool looked pretty much like this and I just replaced it (as in 2 days ago, the new one is still filling)

I said to my installer "That was pretty bad, huh, lots of rust". He just shrugged and said "I've seen worse, a lot worse, you could have got an other year or two out of it"

You do have a pretty big pool there. I was worried about what would happen if mine went, and what sort of damage it would do.

You are not going to get it replaced now. It's too cold in our neck of the woods starting this weekend - liners will not play nice in the cold.

Me, I would go with a new pool in the spring (clearly I made that decision recently).

Our pool liner went in 2019 after about 20 years and when I ripped it out the walls were rusty and the bottom track was gone all around the pool. Completely gone! So we got rid of it. I'm not saying that you will be OK, but you may be OK for another year or so if the bottom track seems intact. Of course safety is the number 1 priority and taking it down sooner than later is advised if you have any doubts.
