Noticed water shooting out of this connection at about a hairs width. It's maybe a little hard to see it in the picture.
It seems like it happens when I set returns to spa jets and psi goes up by about 5 (10->15psi.)
When I change valves to bring pressure back down leak seems to stop.
What should I do? Is it safe to have system running with lowered psi in the meantime?

From the first picture it looks like the bulkhead fitting has a crack or pinhole in it It should be replaced. Pentair part number 174937. It threads into the diffuser inside the filter tank. Unfortunately, both that filter and the part is no longer made. You might find a supply that has one.

If the scale that is on the part is removed, a coating of Plast-Aid might seal the leak temporarily.

So what do I do if I can't find that part? I'd have to get a whole new filter?
What is the scale? Sorry I've never done any kind of work like this on the system

Scale is the coating of what's left after the water evaporates, al that grey "stuff" that is on the fitting. If the repair doesn't hold then, unfortunately, yes it is new filter time. That is a very old filter that hasn't been made for about 15 years.

Like the darker spots on it? How do I remove the scald?
Is there any other product that you'd recommend? Doesn't look like I can get the plastaid for a little over a week.
So should I keep system off even if it is not leaking when I have it set that psi stays around 10?

@PoolStored any advice you can provide here? Was just about done with SLAM and now I have this happen..
If it doesn't leak with PSI stays around 10, I would run it so it doesn't leak and finish SLAM.

@1poolman1 is absolutely one of the best in the business. I have seen him be right 100% of the time with his advice over years. It is time for a new filter, I'd get that on order.

Thank you. I didn't mean to come off like I didn't believe hus advice, was just waiting for a response and trying to figure out what to do.
@1poolman1 Do you know of any Plastaid alternatives I might find at like a home depot ?
Any recommendation on affordable filter ?

You get what you pay for. After all the threads I've read and/or helped on, I would purchase the largest cartridge filter you can afford. If you get a large filter, you can likely go a full season without cleaning. Cartridges, if maintained properly, last a loooooong time, and carts provide great filtering performance.

Run it at 10 psi until a repair or replacement. JBWeld makes a plastic epoxy, but I have no experience with it. Use a light sandpaper to remove the "grey" stuff.
