Pavers around skimmer have either calcium or is it efflorescence?

I noticed some of the white stuff on these pavers they it appeared to go away. Then we had a big rain and my pool was fuller than normal and in the area of the calcium the pavers felt damp. I drained a bit out of the pool and the dampness left but the calcium or efflorescence expanded. So what do you think it is? A Leak?

One of those covers goes to an autofill, right? Check to see if they happened to punch out the drain hole in it. Somehow that area got wet under the pavers. And was wet for a while.

Or it is a leak.
 
The good thing about brick pavers is they can be lifted.

Pull the area up and see if there is dampness underneath.

Brick can wick moisture from the bottom. You see that type of thing on bricks on the side of buildings.
