I have trouble unscrewing the screws that hold my Polaris 280 wheels on. The slot is so shallow that I find myself demolishing them when using a flat-head screwdriver or even a utility knife. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Plastic screwed to plastic tends to weld itself together after a while.
I think you have to be ready to replace them if you demolish them on removal.

Improvise - use an ad hoc tool. A piece of a metal sheet or something else thin and flat? I had the same dilemma when replacing a broken wheel in my 280:
I’m going to try using a putty knife. Some said perhaps heat it first in otder to make the pitifully shallow slot on the head deeper.You mean these screws?

I did buy some replacement screws via an Amazon vendor. They were too big to fit unfortunately. Where did you purchase those in your photo? They look thinner.
