This otherwise well functioning vacuum seems to have a design flaw in that it rotates only in one direction that results in its power cable getting twisted and tangled. This prevents its programmed use over the week because subsequently IMG_3273.jpegit cannot traverse the whole pool. At this time it requires untangling and removing the twists every other day. I suspect the cable will eventually break because of it.

It looks like yours has the swivel cord (white sleeve) which is supposed to prevent that from happening. Check to make sure it actually turns.

I have several S200 style robots, including a Warrior SE, and they all turn both ways.

It is not perfect and if you leave the robot in the pool and it runs every day for a week, the cable will get tangled.

That is the way life is...

Thanks,

I assumed it turns one way because the twists are always in the same direction. The swivel works but only when I manually untwist the cable, always clockwise.

Mine had the same problem. Left it in 24/7 and untwisted each week when I cleaned the basket. It does have a swivel but you're right it's not designed very well and the cord is pretty stiff. Doesn't seem like rocket science to do it right. But I was so thrilled to have my pool that clean with almost no effort I was happy to untwist it once a week. With swg, robot, and TFP pool ownership was getting boring. All I had to do was swim!

I’m having to untwist it after every use. Has anyone considered using this product to cover the cable to prevent twisting?

I am curious how the sleeve would prevent cable twisting. I visualize the robot "rotating" or sorta barrel rolling on it's end, resulting eventually in cable twists. If you try this approach, please post.
