We just put in a pool and my husband and son insist on letting the puppies in. I am worried about them ripping the liner on the stairs. Ours stairs go all the way across. I wanted to put a bath mat down when we let the puppies in. Will that hurt the liner with the suction cups? Any other ways to protect the stairs?

If you knew what puppies did each time they jump into the colder water you may not want them in. Keep your chlorine WAY up.
Google "Mammalian Diving (Immersion) Reflex affect on Tri-Athletes."

Use a dremel tool with the sandpaper barrel to smooth out their nails after you clip them. It makes them oh so smooth and helps to shorten them also. I can teach you how to get your dogs used to using this took if you need me to. It is a process but so worth it in the end!

all of our dogs went in the pool either leaping or the steps......no damage

They all exited on the vinyl liner steps and we never had a vinyl cut in 10 years. Mostly outdoor dogs so their nails weren't really sharp

We also told our dogs that the water would turn pink around them if they tinkled in the pool.....they're so dumb, they fell for it :laughblue: :laughblue: :laughblue:
wait a minute. Kids or dogs?? I can't remember.........funny either way at my age!
