Pentair heater makes a high pitched noise.

I'm having a similar issue, reported over in this thread
Pentair Mastertemp 250 screaming/whining on ignite

I took the side cover off mine and it didn't help but putting my hand over the intake changes the sound. See here:
 
"08", I realize your post has been sitting unanswered for quite a while, but figured you deserved a follow up by now to see if you cracked the code on that noise, or if you still need help. I suspect you'll be relying on that heater soon to help extend your swim season before closing.
