Can I use the port on the existing chlorine tab feeder and just have the liquid chlorine dump into where the tabs would be? I would just block off the water feed line and install the line to dump straight into the top of the feeder. Chlorine could then just drip down into the water flow.

TFP never recommends mixing chlorine sources. Bleach + Trichlor would create major hazard (chlorine gas). Even if YOU are careful about it, you can not fully ensure that someone else wouldn't accidentally try to load the puck feeder up and then cause a major chemical hazard. Just inject it in its own separate location.

I totally get it that YOU would never mix them. The problem is other people not knowing what to do and accidentally mixing the sources. You can certainly do what you are suggesting but you just want to make sure that no one ever touched the pool equipment without your express permission. Maybe put a spring-loaded Jack-in-the-Box clown inside the puck holder so that when someone opens it up, it pops out with a sign that say "NO TRICHLOR ALLOWED!!" Scare the heck out of them to get their attention!

Or glue the threads closed, and hope you never have to get in there for some reason?

Remove the screw and the tubing and then unscrew the feeder.

Cap the top with a threaded cap and inject in the remaining hole.
