Your Processor on the PCB is only for the PDA.
Jandy is partially correct. You need the iQ30-RS kit which is a new PCB with a rev T.2 software and the newest 3.0 Antenna.
Do not get the iQ30-ANT as that is the antenna only and it will not communicate with the PDA.

Once you install the new PCB, you can also keep the current antenna for the PDA if you wish but you probably won't use as the app is easy. You can also download the program to your PC. I find that easier to go the setup process for the pump, and scheduling.

Make sure you have one red 4-wire connector that has 0 or only 1 wire in it. You can put 2 wires (devices) in each. If you don't have capacity you can either buy the multiplex board or don't connect the PDA antenna (and don't use the PDA). Once you switch to RS, your PDA will change roles and only have options to turn things on and off. All programming from that point will be done by the phone app or computer web interface. You could most likely sell your PDA and antenna for $500+ on eBay.

You only need the below and the antenna. The below is my old PDA board but the RS board looks the same. Sometimes they sell the entire thing like you listed but just the PC board is needed. It takes 10 minutes to replace.

Just to add some confusion.. technically Jandy is wrong. The basic iQ-30-A antenna-only kit will work with your PDA firmware. It will work with any PDA firmware above 6.0, you have 7.1. However - you will not have access to the full "Touchlink web" interface, just the basic toggles, making it about as useful as your PDA (so useless).

As outlined above, you can either try and find a cheap used "CPU board" with recent firmware (T.2 or V) and swap that onto your board, then buy the cheaper iQ-30-A antenna kit. Or, just simplify things and buy the iQ-30-RS kit, then sell your old board, PDA, and PDA antenna on eBay.

If you do purchase the complete kit - iQ30-RS, the new PCB has 2 red connectors on it. Save the plug from your old PCB to use or keep as spare. So you will have more than enough. I have my Pentair VSF pump RS485 cable, a Jandy AquaPure SWCG RS485 cable and the 3.0 Antenna on my 2 Red Connectors, i.e. 2 items on 1 and 1 item on the other.

I could have hooked up my old PDA antenna and then the PDA could do basic on-off but I was so done with it, and pleased with Jandy App and the PC interface to the system.

You will need to go through the whole setup and scheduling again but that helps you learn about the capabilities of the new PCB.

I recently installed the iQ30-RS update kit - I was updating from an 15 yr old RS One Touch that had all but died, and now I'm mad at myself for not updating years ago. I really love the update. It was an easy process and went smoothly, though I do generally consider myself to be pretty handy.

One caveat I believe I read is that Jandy doesn't intend for the upgrade to be a DIY project, and limits their warranty if you DIY. I was confident in my ability to install and feel I'm more knowledgeable & attentive to detail than most professionals that I've observed on these types of things, but I was concerned about the potential for a factory defect not being covered by the mfgr. Also you are obviously opening up a panel with high voltage if you DIY, so be sure you know how to keep yourself safe if you DIY.

Suggestion - take pictures of all the wires, connectors, and labels before you take any loose. Also label any wires that aren't already clearly labeled (the plug in sockets on the board are labeled, but a lot of the wires aren't, at least in my case). I use painter's tape & a sharpie to label wires/cables. All of this will save you some time from having to trace a cable to see where it goes if you get some loose wires confused as to where they go - it's hard to simply move one at a time from the old board over to the new board due to space and wire length constraints.
