Bullfrog jetpacks

Are you talking about the mineral packs that contain metals....which we don't recommend?
Who's "we"?🤔
The OP is talking about jetpacks, the removeable, interchangeable backs of the seats in a Bullfrog spa that allow you a variety of jet layout options to choose from. It's bullfrogs' claim-to-fame, and is either one of the best or one of the worst ideas in the history of spas. But it is unique (and patented) to bullfrog, so it's not surprising that you're not familiar with it. You almost have to own one to know what that means.
I know of nothing that can help the OP, other than shopping craigslist or fakebook. I've never heard of a trade-in program or a used jetpack for sale.

I like the idea of an exchange program, but I don't know of any.

I do trade them with a friend of mine who also has a Bullfrog spa (the colors don't match, but that is not a big deal). In fact I have 4 in my spa and another of his in my shed right now. He has a spare, because one of his had a damaged manifold on it, and they let him keep it when they gave him a new one. It was a hairline crack that some RTV sealant easily remedied.

I have not priced new JetPaks but I thought they were in the $500-$600 range, not $1,000. Still, not priced that you want to build a collection of them.

Maybe some enterprising dealer could come up with a program. Pay a membership fee (so much per month) and you can "check out" a certain number of JetPaks at a time.

Our dealer had about 12 different packs and would let you try out different ones to see which one you like. In the first 30 days of ownership they would trade straight across with one you had installed in your new tub. After that you could buy them but at the time (mid pandemic, 2020) they were $400 ea. Can't imagine they're 1k now!

Possibly 3-5% of spa price actually doesn't sound terribly unreasonable for a chosen option that can accommodate what other brands cannot. A new hot tub is quite the investment when you consider running wiring and perhaps pouring a slab.

How do that manage that color-wise? The paks that come with your tub are color matched to the shell. If you trade after purchase, how do you match colors?

The paks they have to loan are various colors. Once you find the one you like, then you order the correct color for your tub. We tried 3 different paks before ordering the one we liked.
I didn't realize that you could order the paks on a separate date from the tub. I know you can order more, but I thought the initial load out had to be at the same time as the tub order. That's good to know (too late for me, but still good to know)

Sorry, should have been more clear. We ordered the tub with the initial paks we picked. After the tub arrived and was installed, we didn't like one of the paks we originally chose so our dealer let us try multiple "loaner" paks they had on hand. We found one we liked, they ordered a new one to match our tub then swapped out the original one that came with the tub we didn't like for the new one.

Sounds like you have a really helpful dealer.
