SWC union question

Wow. Not sure what the difference is but with original mounting I could go just over hand tight with no leaks. New mounting requires a lot more torque. Don’t believe it’s cross threaded as I’ve cross threaded quite a few lines in my 15 years as a plane mechanic. This goes on very loose for a long time. No leaks now.

At 3050, a 2 psi increase is possible.

You are running the pump way too fast.

What flow rate do you need?
That is my cleaning setting ("quick clean") I run less than that for 6 hours and then down more for 5 more. Was running that high to leak check.

What does quick clean do?

Unless you have a heater or a floor system, you should not need to exceed about 1,750 RPM.

Going any higher provides no benefit and it uses about 5 to 8 times more power than necessary.

It's not part of my schedule. I was using it to leak check the lines.

Oh we get it now. Your neighbor said “ look no leaks “ and you said “ hold my beer and watch this” 🤣

I have the circupool edge and I have to give mine an extra 1/8th turn with my gaint set of channel locks to stop all the leaks.
What did help was a dab of pool lube on the threads.
