For those with “ghosted” pool builders

It won't do anything to get your pool finished or get your money back.
It sure wouldn't. But it would help me deal with being out the money that at least they were in jail. (If convicted. Innocent until proven guilty and whatnot).

Right now, for example, I'm broke and nobody is in jail for it. :ROFLMAO:

Agreed. It’s so sad that people are so comfortable defrauding others in this manner. It’s everywhere and it’s so frustrating. The more that are held accountable and jailed, the better!

Yes quite sad there are ones who choose money over relationships-people. Building a pool is such an emotional path of excitement and expectations of good times to come. Especially if kids are involved. In reality its often quite the opposite even with a reasonably successful build. I think builders and co like to work on all will be forgotten when the pool is finished. Were up front much will be overlooked with hope and anticipation.

In my neck of the woods its largely unregulated, with the regulator being similar to a big toothless tortuous. Big in stature and impression, no bite and tends to side with the builder often, and as speedy with an outcome as watching a glacier melt.

I urge all of you who have pools, write to who matters about better regulation and accountability. I am so happy I have my pool, but done't think I would line up for another. Feel I dodged a bullet for most part this time, but have met enough who didn't.
