Rail Strike Impact … Chlorine Tops the List

Even more happy to have an SWG (and know my liquid chlorine is trucked in from the HASA plant Eloy if I need any).

Yeah. The eKonomy Pool guy that I know said they don’t expect any shortages (they can just truck it down to Tucson like they typically do) but that the prices will go way up. If HASA can’t move product by rail, they’re going to cut production to stem losses and that’s going to drive up the price bigly … expect scarcity and price increases if the strike happens. There’s no guarantee that Congress will impose a contract but more likely will demand another 30 or 60 day “cooling off” period to push the problem past the holiday season …

One chemical that is in short supply is Adderall, which is used to treat attention-deficit disorders.

What were we talking about?

No worries. You can substitute short-acting methylphenidate instead … you might want to lay off the Mountain Dew Code Red though as you could wind up with a bit of insomnia like this poor fellow -
