Water level too high, how urgent is it?

Hello.
im in the US Virgin Islands, we have had a LOT of rain.
Again….
I just found out the water level is covering the skimmer mouth.
I wont be back there til tomorrow night.
the water has been over the skimmer for two days already.
When the skimmer is trying to pull water and can’t, is this a hazard?
do I need someone to go there and drain out some water, or can it wait another day?
pool is 9000 gallons, concrete, cartridge filter, SWG, pump runs from 7am- 6pm at 1700 speed.

Only significant issue is it will not skim material from the surface of the pool. No need to panic.

Your pool should have an overflow drain. Investigate that when you return.

Yeah, it should. But it doesn’t.
Just one of many odd ways of constructing pools over here.

prospect...Pls send Marty and I a few plane tickets to US Virgin Is and we will take a look at your drainage issue....pls have 2 strong and tall Mai Tai's and we will get to business....Also, pls feel free to send any and all rains to both Tx and NV.

You can examine the cost of retrofitting w a drain, or buy a $90 submersible pump. Has the pool ever flooded and overflowed? If so, where does the water go?
