Update on the project - some happy news and some not so great news (not sure). Broke ground August 8, progress was quick- before we knew it - gunite was done! It was all very very quick. This is however a new build, so they had to pause to wait for us to turn on electricity before going further. While we are waiting for power, we noticed a crack on the gunite in the middle of the pool. Any thoughts? Is this a big cause for concern? The builder says its superficial, should we take their word for it or get them to do something about it? Pics included.

Cracks are very normal in the shell. Sure can be scary when first seen! They should fill it with cement if it is too big. Too big is in you can fit your finger tip into it.
Thanks @kimkats! Looks like they are going to send the gunite company to fill crack with cement.
