We are in the design phase of your pool. We are looking to have 4 bubblers installed in a sun deck area which will be about 6 inches deep. We would like the bubbler water to reach about 4 ft in height. Is this possible if we add a separate pump for the bubblers? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure someone can math that out for you, but I have 2 bubblers that can be run alone on a 3hp pump, and I get good action bubblers. There's no way 4 foot will happen - not even close.

It is possible to add a separate pump for your bubbler and any other water feature. You would want a VS pump to provide better control of your height. If you have a connected spa to your pool and you wish to run the bubbler while in Spa Mode then you most certainly would need a separate pump.

I visited a pool a few days ago that had 5 bubblers in 3” of water fed by a dedicated 2.7HP Pentair VS pump. The owner pushed the pump to full so I could see the effect. I didn’t have a tape measure, but based on how high they came up on my body I would estimate the highest the fat part of the plume reached was about 42”. I did not notice the reducer size. I don’t know enough of the plumbing details to calc the head loss but the pump was 40-50’ away.
