Very late notice but the latest CMEs are about to hit the earth, forecasted around midnight CDT. Aurora may be visible overhead from as far south as northern Illinois, with visibility to the North as far south as Oklahoma City.
So if you live in a northern state, perhaps try to wake up in the middle of the night to check. Or if you wake up to pee in a mid to southern state look north.
I’ve got my alarm set for 2:30 (just over 4 hours from now). I’m gonna regret this when I have to get up at 6 tomorrow morning. But if it actually happens it’ll totally be worth it.
