Central Kentucky Refinishing Recommendations

I have a kidney shaped gunnite pool that needs new paint and tile.

Located in Central Kentucky and interested in any first hand experience with contractors in the area.

Plan is to start the Reno in the early spring 2023.

Thanks!!

I am glad you are getting a start now on finding someone. I am not sure painting would be in your best interest though. The newer paint is not doing as well as paint for a while ago. It is tending to chalk off and causing cloudy water.

Thanks.

That is the issue at hand, chalking surface and clouding issues. I agree on getting someone lined up now rather than later.

What are the best and longest lasting coatings or resurfacing options these days?

I’d like something that would allow me to get away from tile at the water line as that’s been a problem over the years.

So my guess is it was painted before?
Yes.

As I do more research it looks like Pebble Tek is a popular option albeit it more expensive one, than a typical replaster.

Looks like there are also fiberglass options.

More research to come I guess. Building a regional contractor list from Google and cross referencing with the BBB.
