Hi everyone,
We are new home, and incidentally pool, owners. First opened the pool early June and it has been beautiful. Over the past week or so though, we have been unable to get rid of (what we thought) was pollen at then bottom of the pool. We first noticed the sediment on the bottom a few weeks ago. It was minor and nothing a good vacuum and shock didn’t take care of.
It has grown into something totally unmanageable this week. We took apart our filter and cleaned it well (it looked like it had never been done previously and was a total mucky green color). Have been brushing the bottom twice a day and vacuumed it 3x this week. Hoped that would fix it but a few days later it still looks like this.
The chemicals are testing WNL. When the bottom is brushed, it puffs up into a green cloud easily and then settles back to the bottom after a while (as seen in the photos). Using the vacuum sucks it right up but also does cause some clouding when it’s disturbed.
We are now wondering if we have been treating it totally wrong and wanted to turn to you knowledgeable folks for advice
