Could you post a couple pics of your filter and equipment pad so we can see everything?I didn’t switch the hoses when I installed the new port like I read in other posts. I wish that was it.Welcome to TFP!

These are all I have at the moment. That’s actually the old port. Everything seemed fine until the water drop overnight and I saw it was coming out my backwash. I just don’t under what would cause low flow on back wash but good pressure on filter. I’m so dreading changing out that sand. Such a pain.
No, that was before the new one. I solved that problem but now I have this problem. Yes, I installed a whole new port. I detached hoses and removed the collar. Pulled off old port. Lubed the new o-ring and slid the new one on. Reattached hoses just as they were. Could I have lost sand with it running out the backwash?
A new spider gasket comes on the new port, right? I didn’t even pay that close attention to see if why I took out had the same pieces.
A little but shouldn't be anything significant or that would explain water leaking to waste.
Yes, it should've been all in one assembly.
I’m going to change out the sand and inspect the laterals this weekend. I’ll get plenty of pics. Lol
Well… I was sitting here at work staring at that picture and thinking about my return hose dripping at the pump end when I realized my dripping return is on top. Honestly, I have never been so happy to make such a simple mistake. I ran home on lunch and swapped them in less than 30. Backwash is blasting out now.
Sometimes we just need a moment to step back and look. Glad you got it.
