Hello,

My pump just bit the dust. Please help me decide on a replacement. I'm not up on the latest and greatest. I am replacing a Sta Rite Max E Pro 2 HP. I'd like to go with a two speed if possible. My budget is up to $1000ish but spending less would be nice. My pool is 60,000 gallons. My plumbing is basic 2 inch.
 
A 2 speed pump is not the latest and greatest. VS pumps are.

If you want a 2 speed pump shop around and see what is available. Consider how you want to control the pump speeds.

Look at the Calimar or Black & Decker VS pumps.
