So I have SWG parts on order and will be liquid chlorinating for probably 3-5 days. Did the initial opening w/ shocking, water cleared up well, didn't realize the SWG wasn't working right away.
So the pool has not had any chlorine since the initial shocking at opening (Saturday). The water still looks good I guess, but I'm guessing it's not since it's been untreated for 4+ days, and my CYA
was on the low end. I'll be using 12.5% chlorine.
CYA: 30-40 (target 50-60)
FC: 0 (target 5)
ph: 8.2 (target 7.4)
Salt: 3000ppm
I don't have other test results handy. I can do a strip test tonight, to confirm and give other reading on the strip as well. (I have the TF-100 kit on order).
I'm assuming I should be going with a SLAM to start? But I'm not sure when my test kit is going to arrive with the FAS-DPD and I doubt just waiting is my best course of action.
I'd like to begin correcting things tonight since I'll be home a lot the next few days to babysit.
Any advice would be great on if I should jump into SLAM procedures or just go for a 're-shock with liquid chlorine then try to maintain levels.
Thanks!
