12 pounds of Borax?

It's from the low ph. I'm wondering why your ph is so acidic. Have you tested your fill water?
6.8 is probably the lower limit of your pH test, so you may even be below 6.8
I show for a 21,000 gallon pool to go from 6.8 to 7.2 you need a little over 13 pounds of Borax. I'd do it in steps of three or four pounds at a time circulating and retesting pH after the water is well circulated.
Don't use washing soda to raise the pH as it will also raise the TA. Borax has less effect on the TA.
If you have any way to increase aeration like waterfalls or bubblers, turn them all on.

Yes, I have been testing every day. Last week it had me add muriatic acid (about 4 gallons). I also had to add the stabilizer to the filter. Should I add the 12 pounds?
Am I using pool math correctly? I go through the tests ( I have the more expensive kit) and follow what it says. For the acid, I go to the part of the app that tells you what will happen if you add a particular amount of a chemical.

Hold off just a little. I want someone to walk you through the app as you should not be on an acid/borax yoyo
Can you tell us what your TA is,,,,,,,,,that has an effect in how the app determines how much acid to add,
Hey Dusty !!! Open pool math and click the settings gear in the upper right corner. I couldn't see how you and Tim had so many lbs of borax needed. At 21k gallons, mine was saying 1.4 lbs and not 12 pounds. So for fun I changed the gallons to 210k, and it wanted 14 lbs. I bet you have one too many zeros.
I checked it and it's at 21,000. Last week I was suspecting this also. Is the number of gallons stored any other place?
OK. I replicated it. 'Effects of adding' does it on mine too. It's calculating one too many zeros. Set the pool volume to 21k in the gear/settings and click on the PH tab. That one should be correct.
And just like that....... both are working again.
Exit the app completely, clear it and open it from scratch.

I cleared my logs and used ypur #s and it wants 8lbs+ now. I'm just as lost. Hang tight. 
I thought I had to use the chart attached but then I learned about of the effects of adding tab.
