New SoCal IG shotcrete pool build - equipment set, Final Inspection Passed, Pebble Done! Salt added. Back deck in process

Got everything buttoned up for inspection tomorrow.
I'm going to edit the post above regarding the jst connectors just in case someone is looking at this in the future. In hindsight I made an error as I cut all five wires the same length. If pentair ever pulls their head out of their rears and enables the "intelli" features I'll need to reterminate the valves so that the green and yellow will reach the expansion card. Whoops 🤭
Garage man door had the handle raised and self closers added, that was a bit of a challenge due to the way I installed the door 16 yrs ago lol.
Installed an intermatic 300 watt pool safe transformer for the landscape lighting near/on the pool. Not sure if I like it as it hums like a swarm of angry bees! The 2 pentair 100 watt transformers are nowhere near as loud nor was my non pool safe 300 watt one that the lights have been on for the last 6 months. Does anyone have a pentair 300w? Is it crazy loud?
 
I have the 300W Pentair lighting transformer (619963) and it isn't noisy that I notice. Some of that might be the load that is on it. I only have the 4 globrites on mine. What is the power draw of the lights currently connected?

The 300 watt intermatic currently has 29 5 watt mr16 so 145 watts. The two pentair 100w have 2 and 3 microbrites at 14w each
On another note, @Turbo1Ton , any suggestions for where to run the vent tube for the intelliph? It's against the retaining wall so I could just run it up and along the backside of the wall but not sure to where.
 
Probably along the backside of the wall, as you mention. I think I would run it to the right, away from the pool, and take it as far as you can. Looks to be about 15-20' or so to the end of the wall. The issue I see is keeping the end of the vent hose down low on the wall, it could be a issue for someone if they were standing near it. I don't imagine these things pump out a ton of acid vapors, but I'm sure not gonna stand there and try and huff it to find out.

The only other thing I can think of is to try and run it over the wall and then up the post you have your pad light mounted to. Extend it about 10-12" above the light to get it up in the air. If you do this, make sure to loop the top over into a shepherd's hook to keep any rain water from collecting in it.

Up the light post seemed the most reasonable and easiest to tuck away so critters don't naw at it. I'm going to pick up a 3/8 masonry bit after the inspection (scheduled for between 1130-130 😬) and run it thru the wall just above the acid tank.

One of our door alarms fell of at 1:30am this morning, that was a fun way to wake up 😆
 
Since i have another 24 hours to contemplate final inspection i had 2 Questions for my electrical nerds please.
1. The water line coming to the pad for autofill and gas line for the heater are both metal, do these need to be bonded?
2. The low voltage wires for my 5 microbrites travel thru the high voltage side of the panel then back out to the transformers. Everything in me tells me this is wrong (and I can't come up with a good reason it was even done). When I asked the plumber, the plumber was the electrician, he said because he used thwn wire from the junction box thru the panel to the transformers this was ok?

1. I'm perusing the NEC ( embrace the rabbit hole) and it appears since the water and gas lines are more than 5ft from the water they do not require a bond
2. The low volt wires are in their own conduit. It does appear that he is correct , the conductors being rated for 600v appear to make this while not ideal, ok

The NEC is a crazy beast. It is a deep rabbit hole, for sure.

The 600V conductor rating is for the voltage going through the wiring, not for outside voltages. If the low volt wires are in their own conduit and not sharing a conduit with the 120V/240V wires, there is even less of a concern. The issue with running higher and lower voltages together is because of electrical noise, or induced currents on the other wires. If these are in their own conduits, there is little concern for that, even though it passes through the 'high voltage' area of the panel.

Because of placement, I have 1.5" poly from the propane tank location to the pad, then 1.5" galvanized drops back into the ground, runs across the pad and comes up on the other end of the pad.20220523_192224~2.jpg
 
Inspection Passed! onward to pebble :)
For reference i asked (after he signed the job card ;) ) about the bonding and lv in the load center and he stated both were compliant
Liberating the shower supply now so when they come tomorrow to patch the rock work they can do that as well!
 
Still waiting to here if we ha e pebble confirmed for this week. Opened up the wall with the shower supplies and the faux rocks a little thicker than anticipated so i had to order a couple fittings from Amazon. Hope to finish that tomorrow so its ready when they come thursday to touch up the other rock work.
Surge suppressor came in today so I installed it, cheap just in case insurance that I decided on from reading the wiki, Dang tfp making me spend money 😆
