So like i said, did all this work. Got the 18'x52" pool up, its almost full! My wife took one step onto the ladder and looked at me, "No way in heck im climbing this thing, enjoy your pool".
ACK!
The ladder is really wobbly and not very sturdy!

WHAT DO I DO? I'm all out of money and ideas!

I inherited a nice setup when we moved. A simple staircase that was basically bleachers and an inside confer ladder that bolted to it. It was as sturdy as can be for a 6'3" 275lb dude

Anyone following my build (in sig) may remember those planks as my equipment pad forms and now doggo bridge. The gift that keeps giving. 🤣

Do you know which ladder you have? Can you post a picture?

If you are really out of money, like on a super budget, you can help it by making sure the ground outside the pool that the ladder rests on is level, and compacted.

Then anchor the ladder to the ground. Get some tent stakes, lengths of rebar, whatever you are comfortable with. Drill appropriate holes in the outside base of your ladder and stake it to the ground.

Me, I would use 24" lengths of re-bar, with the tops bent into a "J" to hook over the bottom of my stairs. If you are comfortable (and have the tools) to bend bar, then that is great. If not, then look for something similar that you can use, but rebar makes a great stake.

Your "bleacher" approach is causing me to rethink and regret many of my choices in life.

:ROFLMAO:

I have to give the credit to the previous owners. We have a boatload of above grounds here with a short season and I've been around them for decades. I never saw this setup before and it sure impressed me. I'm a big dude and it held me well. Obviously the stairs were solid but the ladder part was sturdy too. It was kinda a shame tearing it down.
