New pool guy in North Texas. We bought a house with an old 15k gallon fiberglass pool earlier this year and I’ve basically thrown myself off the deep end to sink or swim in learning pool upkeep.
*All puns were intended.
It’s an old pool and needs some love all around, but it’s my new mission to make this thing the best it can be.
Started by going to the chain stores with water samples, and felt that something off when different employees would tell me different things at different times, reading seemed way off after doing everything they said I should. It was just weird, but kudos to them on that whole printout of steps and products to buy, great marketing on their end! I decided to set out on google to find answers to all my new pool guy questions and that brought me to TFP. There’s a lot of great resources out there but reading these forums here as a guest, I felt this site was the most genuine and made the most sense to me. So here I am, ready to learn. Please don’t laugh my stupid questions and I’ll try not to ask too many!
