Hey All!
So we recently purchased and home and inherited an in ground heated pool. We haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone we can hire that aren’t beyond busy(or only opening pools they’ve installed).
We took the winterizing plugs out of the pool walls and I added the plugs to their corresponding holes to the filter/heater. What I’m currently stuck on is this (pressurized?) white device in the skimmer area. I haven’t been able to find any information on what this could be, I thought it was a winterized skimmer plug but it looks way more intense than the ones I’ve seen online. I’m worried that if I keep messing with it I’ll break something.

Any help? Much appreciated!

Welcome to TFP.

That plug will unscrew from the skimmer hole. Use a pair of channel locks to get a grip on it if necessary.

The hole is threaded so unscrew it to remove it.
