A good friend of mine runs a dog boarding and training business out of her home and uses one of these to sanitize her runs and reduce the chance of spreading any kind of bacterial illness. She swears by them and says they're super easy to just hook up to the hose and start spraying. As it happens, their website also suggest it's a good option for cleaning off pool decks- looks like the caplets are just cal-hypo so it shouldn't affect pool chemistry in a significant way.

I ordered one; More to see if it could get the recurring mildew off of my siding, which is kind of a pain given the height of my house and the speed it forms with the climate here. If it works for that, plus makes it easier to keep the mildew off of the pool deck? I will gladly eat the upcharge for the convenience!

You could accomplish the same thing using a one gallon sprayer and a bottle of pool chlorine at a lower price.
Yes, but for the house I'd have to get on a very high ladder and I don't do that anymore.

A gallon sprayer and chlorine is how I clean my pool deck now, but this looks far easier and I'm willing to pay for convenience- especially now that I'm working almost constantly.

I looked at their website. It just looks like a hose end sprayer. I don't see anything where it will pressurize the water to reach high heights.

The same could be accomplished with about any hose end sprayer.

My regular hose (with a nozzle for the most aggressive spray) provides enough distance without any additional pressure. And if the nozzle it comes with doesn't work, it looks like I can swap it out. I have used those garden sprayers and they don't come anywhere close- they're more for spraying fertilizer and you cannot attach a different nozzle to them.

Hose Sprayer and load your own cal-hypo/LC ?
Or Foam Cannon for Pressure Washer and same thing? I have this exact one and it can shoot quite the distance.
All of the hose sprayers I've found either feed too much at the lowest setting or the spray is more designed for a gentle sprinkling of fertilizer on your lawn/roses. The one you link looks like it can maybe be adjusted, though. As for the pressure washer, I don't have one anymore and don't really want to get one again- My garage is already full.

I went ahead and bought the Wysi-Wash and it works pretty well. With just a short ladder, the spray is strong enough to get to the top of my house and the pods last a REALLY long time (I washed my entire house and pool deck and it isn't even half gone). It takes a little longer to loosen up the mildew with the weaker bleach concentration but it does eventually kill it and wash it away. All in all, it's an easy "plug and play" way to do a quick bleach wash of house/decking. I might need to keep some 30 second Outdoor Cleaner around for anything that needs more power, but for routine use I'm not disappointed with it at all.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I was just trying to provide alternative, more "open source" options. I hate being locked in to proprietary systems with components and form factors that don't allow interchangeability. But like I said. If this is a solution to your problem, great.

More importantly, this might be a good source for Cal Hypo tabs (although they only last 3.5 hrs). These could be good for people doing a AA treatment and want to use one of this tabs to help precipitate out the iron for capture.
