I'll be plumbing in a new Pentair Quad DE filter, multiport and VS pump in the next few weeks, and I was looking for suggestions on how to make my plumbing more efficient. The existing plumbing layout has been there for at least the last 20 years we've lived here - with the exception of occasional repairs done and a heater installation.
I do plan on installing a heater bypass (with Jandy 3-way and check valve).

- Anything else I should consider?
- Anything I can add to help make my closings easier? I had a system set up with my old Nautilus FNS filter where I connected a leaf blower to the intake piping in the filter to blow my lines out - but I'm not sure I can do that with this new filter.
