Super excited to be a part of this awesome community, found out couple days ago and already learned a lot!
2nd year owning an outdoor in-ground concrete pool in Seattle area which was originally built in early 2004. Painted now (not sure when it was painted last).
Last year used regular pool service for chemistry & cleaning. This year I got the hang of chemicals and doing fine myself so far.
One problem that I'll probably need to deal with eventually (~1-3 years) is the chalky buildup on the walls. Which comes off in the water after heavy swim sessions (multiple people), or after I scrub. So, I may need to decide the action plan for it eventually.
