15ish year old pool and I have close to 6 tiles that have popped off. I've had zero luck getting anyone willing to come out and it's an eyesore. I do have tile. Can anyone point me to a DIY site/forum/video on how I can do this myself? I've search TFP and haven't found any real step by step (but the search results were also overwhelming). Will post pics when I get a chance.

There are a bunch of pool tile repair videos on the net...

Thanks. I watched a bunch of those, seems like one from 10 years old is still the best. I have a lot of build up that I have to get off but I'm not sure how to do it without messing the layers underneath it up.

That looks like dried thinset put on heavy.

It may take a hammer and chisel to get down to the gunite.

You need to chip that out. You can see the backing pattern from the tile.

Proper surface preparation will make the difference if the new tile stays on long term.

Ok. Thanks. Going to try and tackle this Saturday. I was going to use ez patch to adhere the tiles. Is that ok or do you have a recommendation. I only have the above area and two other very small areas.
