We bought 3 year old house and we never had pool before and new to it. I have schedule in Aqualink to start pump at 10am and stop at 5pm. It is turning on schedule time without any issue but never stopping at schedule stop time. I called Jandy and they made to clear memory on Aqualink z4 (it is on wall outside) and made to create schedule there. I still have the issue. I can't figure it out. We are planning to be not at home for 2 weeks and trying to find how to run only 8 to 12 hours.

Appreciate any help.

That is the only thing you have scheduled? If anything else is turned on it will override the schedule. Try to do a short schedule say 10 minutes just to see if it works.

I just tried setting it to start at 5:15 pm and stop at 5:30 pm. It started at 5:15 pm, but it is still running after 5:30 pm. We live in Tampa and went to Pinch a Penny and they said Aqualink z4 (Jandy) is not any more continued. They gave a quote of $1600 for equipment and $500 for installation.

It is too expensive and we bought a 3-year-old house and did not expect the troubles for 3-year equipment. We never had a pool and trying to understand as it is overwhelming. I just turned off with remote and it always works, but don't understand the schedule is not working. Appreciate any solution.

The Z4 is still a current product with Jandy. What pump is your system set up for? Is it listed correctly?

FYI: It will not hurt anything to keep the pump running 24x7. Mine runs 24x7 for the entire 6 month pool season and I am in my 5th season.

Glad to know that I can run all the time. That made me comfortable for our vacation trips. I turn off at 6pm or before sleep as I don't like noise as our bedroom wall is next to it. I am afraid , if it could burn the motor if I run 24x7.

I don't know what pump we have. I will gather. How do I check pump is setup properly in the list? Appreciate all the help. I also need to add vaccum as it lowers my service charge. Just getting familiar with the pool system.

Look on the side of the pump for the model #. Post a pic here if you are able. Pool pumps are designed and rated for 100% duty cycle. If your pump is a single speed, it will cost money to run it all the time. But will not hurt the pump. See the below pool pump run costs.

Thanks for the information. Here is that I found on Pump. Not sure why it has two serial numbers and two model numbers. Let me know what type of pump it is. I find on it RPM as 3450 which is the most expensive usage according to chart. Appreciate it. I am putting Model information here.

You have a single speed 1.5 HP Jandy Pro series Flopro pump.

Wet end and motor are two different components and each has a model# and serial number.

Thanks. What is Wet end and motor means? I see RPM as 3400 on the photo. According to chart it is highest RPM with highest wattage. Does it mean this motor is most inefficient? Is there reason why the previous owner chose this motor?

Also, how expensive to change these mortors? Is it worth to change to 2 speed mortor or anything better? I don't like the noise from this motor as it is next to our bed room. But I turn off in the night. Not a big deal.

Also, how do I calculate how long I need to run this? I am planning to call a company who installed it to find the size of the pool tomorrow. I guess I need this to calculate running time. If I go on vacation and turn off this for 2 weeks, does it matter as I won't be using it? Sorry too many questions. Trying to learn as well. Appreciate it
