Centering of Sheer Feature

Hello, we are finalizing design on our pool and had a question for the community regarding centering of our waterfall sheer feature. As of now, (see attached photos) we have this centered to the entire project (patio plus pool plus spa). It is also centered to the "vantage point" of our existing back patio.

The one downside of this is that the sheer begins very close to the end of the stairs coming down into the water.

Should we keep the sheer centered as in the current photos, or are these features typically centered to the functional portion of the pool? In our case this would be more toward the spa side.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Nick

I would center your sheers on the pool area, not the deck .

I think it depends if you will really always have the lounges in the pool. If u can have them take out the lounges in the rendering you will understand what I mean.
If you plan on having the sun shelf full of them your eye moves to the right and u kind of want the wall centered in the functional part of pool.
If u will have the sun shelf empty so u can enter the pool there where it is centered should be fine as you view it as part of the entire pool.
With that all said I feel like if you wanted it moved because it is so close to the sun deck that is fine too.

@ajw22 So you would move it toward the spa and center it to the functional pool area, not including the sunshelf? Thanks so much for the feedback/guidance!

Nick

My eyeball says the sunshelf on one side pretty much balances the spa on the other side. So I would center the sheers in the pool swimming area.

I think the area will look balanced and no one will be measuring exactly where the center is.
