Hi folks. I have a pre-RS485 (dumb) MasterTemp heater connected to my Intellicenter. Is there a way to schedule different temperatures throughout the day? I find no way to create either feature circuits or groups circuits that will allow me to specify a certain temperature for the heater. Bumps and/or thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Why do you want to do that?

What is the temperature schedule you want?

Thanks. My idea is to start the day at about 80 degrees and then at about 3 pm increase that to 85 or so. Then overnight (midnight to 5 am) I would like to be able to run my pump but not the heater . Pretty simple bit for my life I cannot find a way to do that via schedules with the Intellicenter.

I doubt it will make much of an energy difference heating your pool to 85 in the morning and letting the heater maintain it.

Just setup your heater to run from 7AM to midnight at 85F.

Define a schedule on your pool circuit and it will allow you to set a heat source and setpoint. Since you are running an I10D you should be able to configure this in dashPanel as well. These options only appear for circuits 1 or 6 that have a heater option defined for it.

Thank you @rstrouse. I was trying to assign specific heating behaviors to Feature Circuits. I see now that I can't do that other than going directly to use circuits 1-6. Now if that is so, how do you assign different pump speeds throughout the day? Do you have to have a schedule to specify pump speed for each Pool Schedule? Very confused now!

Glad you figured it out. Just a little more information though

Actually with an i10D you have two options if each of the bodies has a heater. The reason why this is so is because if the main filter circuit for the body is not currently running the heater will not come on by design. So setting a temperature setpoint for a feature or aux circuit would be moot. However, you can create a schedule for a body circuit (pool, spa or pool, pool) and also have other schedules that change for instance the RPM of the pump.

Many thanks! I think I have it figured out. It is a shame a certain RPM and temperature cannot be assigned to a schedule the same time. Quirks of our little automation system I guess. Again, many thanks @rstrouse.
