Hello all! Bought my first house in Arizona with an older pool and am trying to learn as much as possible so that I can maintain the pool correctly! So far, my luck has not been great, but hopefully with TFP I can get on top of it and get back to enjoying the pool!

You need a good test kit, see test kits compared. Once you have it post full set of results. In the meantime add about 5ppm liquid chlorine to maintain pool until know what actually needs to be done.
Add your pool information to your signature similar to mine. If on phone turn sideways to see it. Access through settings, gear icon I think, can’t see it while typing lol.

I noted in another thread my issues, but I am starting to see some progress...Still a long road ahead, but at least I'm not harboring a mosquito/lake monster factory in my back yard anymore

Pool water is extremely clear and I can easily see the bottom. Unfortunately, as I noted on my other post, it seems I have a big black algae problem. Hopefully I can sort this one out too, but so far its been very, very stubborn
