MA addition

When I add acid, I usually add at about 7.8 ph or so, and get it down to about 7.3, or low enough where it does not cause CSI to get too far in the negative. I've noticed that the next evening when I test for ph, it has jumped to 7.5 or even 7.6. Then it will sit between 7.5 and 7.7 for several days before reaching the point where I add more acid. I've read in other posts that this is usual behavior for ph. My question is, is it a waste of time/money to be adding enough acid to get it all the way down to 7.3 when it is going to just jump up within 24 hours? Should I just shoot for 7.5 and maybe add a little more often? Am I overthinking this and does it even matter? As always, thanks for all the knowledge.

What is your TA? If not rising, then only take the pH to 7.6 when it gets to 8. If the TA rises due to fill water TA, then what you are doing is probably best as it will reduce the TA more.

TA usually sits at 70. May creep up to 80, but that's it. It seems that 70 is the sweet spot, and I've never seen it get below that. Fill water TA is 110. Sounds like it's better just to get the ph to 7.6.
