Cracked screw hole on return

Put some silicone over the crack when you lower the water for the winter. Replace it when you replace the liner. Don't overtighten the screw when you replace it. That is why it cracked.

Removing the screws risks the liner shifting on you. And you don't know if the nut plate on the other side will stay put.

Hmm - kinda stinks the pool is only 10 months old - I ordered a replacement but now I’m concerned about swapping it out.

If you can't access the back I would not fool with it.

i just popped it off and replaced it under water - i cut a large wooden kebob stick into 4 pegs, unscrewed each screw, replacing each one with a peg, then i took the plate off and fed the new one through the pegs - I hope i didnt tighten these ones too much, i went until resistance then a quarter more turn - i think it was good that i did this because there were signs of rust in the hole that was cracked - and on the back side of the plate there were spider cracks on all four holes. Honestly, i feel like this plate could be better made.
