Disco Pool

Plastered! Blue Smurfed! Acid wash tomorrow. PB said we can swim as soon as it’s filled with water. I don’t think we will until we’re done balancing it. One thing is for sure, we’ll test it right away. It just took less than 4 hours to plaster this. It’ll probably be filled by nighttime tomorrow. Pump will be continuously ran starting Wednesday or Thursday. Should I start brushing once it’s filled with water or should I wait for PB to run the pump before brushing?

Thanks, Jgc88! That’s actually the wet look. It’s lighter now that’s it dried up. Hopefully it gets darker after the acid wash.
Mine did the same. I loved it wet, then it dried up much lighter. It went back to the darker color post acid wash/fill.

The PB should give you the start up procedure... and its best to follow his guidelines so the warranty on the plaster is per the PB. (Every now and then a PB goes off the rails and doesn't follow their own protocol then you have recourse with the plaster Co. ) But in general a good PB (sounds like you got a good one) will tell you what to do when its time to do it.

Acid wash is done. They used sump pump to drain the water with chemicals to that contraption that looks like a spa on its own so we can get in the water as soon as it’s filled. The crew members didn’t put cloth and bottle at first and said it’s not needed for pebble plaster but ended up doing it anyway after I asked, kind of them to do it. Our 5,500 gallon will probably be filled after a few hours, I say by 8 PM. We’ll see. Anyone would like to guess when this will be filled to the waterline?

Check this out, mguzzy, we went around our house and couldn’t find our water meter. We’ve lived here for almost 5 years and never knew where it’s at. My n ugh it had to show me where it is. So I opened and looked at the numbers, it showed 9.94 and the other number is 10.1. Guess what, I have no clue what those numbers mean. You’re right, it’s fun! Lol!

8:17 PM and we’re halfway. Started at 3:30 PM. Can I say my guess was half right? :). This might get filled by 4 AM today. New Project Ma
nager will come tomorrow with the pole, brush, net, and vacuum. He’ll also turn on the filter and pump for continuous 3 day running. My wife will do the start up tomorrow with the kiddo helping out with brushing.

Question: how much magic jack magenta should we use?

OH HAPPY DAY! There is water going in that wonderful pool! OH YEAH!

Know there might be a slight green tint to the water. The true plaster color will show through once the water is balanced and the plaster is cured.

We haven’t added chemicals yet. Waiting for PB to come and deliver the cleaning materials. So far, the water is clear, is that because they acid washed it?
