Pool liner Size wrong?

Hello!
First time poster
So I have a 33ftx54inch round pool. Its a Quantum by Aqua Leader.
Set pool up this weekend and began filling. Was filling fine with all wrinkles pulled out from bottom. About 3/4 of the way to finish point The liner pulled off the wall and washed away all the work.
Noticed the wall was starting to buckle when it was only about a 1/4 of way filled but figured it would have popped itself out from what other research i had done.
We had 6inch coves with the 2inch base above the bottom rails.
Almost wondering if the liner is to small?
Measured from the seam were the round bottom portion meets the wall portion and it was only 49 and 3/4 of an inch?
This pool was used but only 3 years old.
Is it possible that the liner had been replaced with the wrong size? Any help would be appreciated!
Been reading through the posts here and lots of great information!
I attached photos. Only had after photos.
Didnt have any of the actual buckled wall
But can see a dent were the wall had been buckleing and then straightened back out after liner came off.
there was about a 6 inch gap between the liner and the wall right before this.
Thanks!

Was the liner the original one or a replacement? From what ive read here, if it was the original one most likely it will not be able to restretch to use again. May need to get a new liner, but hope some with more knowledge will chime in.

A used liner will lose its elasticity, probably the issue here. Cold air temperature and lack of sunlight plays a role a successful liner installation as well.
