This is day 5 of pool plaster on brand new gunite pool. Is it supposed to look like this? I’ve been brushing 4 times a day. Pool builder added salt on day 3.

That looks pretty blotchy, my sun deck looks way more blotchy than the rest of my pool since it’s so close to the surface especially on cloudy days but that’s pretty bad. Salt is not supposed to be added until day 30, experts will weight in.

Plaster for sure gets blotchy. My builder said they stopped even telling people it was white. It typically develops that mottled pattern you are seeing. This is fairly early in the process I don't think mine did this for a couple months. But it did and I just live with it.

Yeah...mine is now 7 years old and has developed a somewhat uneven appearance - actually a tad disappointed about that but no real big deal. What's up with adding salt though? My builder never mentioned anything about adding any.
